By 10 o’clock this morning (Saturday) I had
Contacted referees (including one to cover the last 12 months, who turned out to be in the middle of the New Forest with an iphone)
Completed my online training
Attended classroom training
Had my identity, address and National Insurance status verified
Submitted a CRB application
Acquired a passport photo (smiling not grinning) and sent it off
Spent half an hour on the phone to a bloke in India trying to sort out my broadband connection which dropped into a prolonged sulk just as I was starting my online assessment
Passed my assessment test
… and signed my contract
I start on Monday.
