Is there anything better than taking an early lunch, sitting by the river, soaking up the sun and watching the world go by?
Last Friday was vote-counting day and, although we finished by 11:30, I’d had an uncharacteristically early start and was consequently quite peckish, so went down to Christchurch Meadow. It was (at last) warm and a perfect day for sitting in the bright warm sunshine, eating my sandwiches and drinking coffee form my nice new spill-proof- but-not-leak-proof mug (a new vote-counting requirement) and watched the river and its erstwhile inhabitants go by.
I had my camera, of course, but recently I‘ve also started carrying a note book and writing down what I see. Sometimes you have to invent words. It’s a whole new world.
