Christmas films are easy, but what about Easter?
I watched a number of films over Easter this year.
Of Gods and Men had been waiting for a suitable moment for a couple of years and the evening of Good Friday seemed appropriate. Selma, courtesy of the BBC seemed another suitable Easter choice.
Later, I saw 12 Years a Slave and Lincoln.
All good films, although Lincoln was not the great film that it should have been. All powerful true stories. All touching on suffering. All touching on justice. Some touching on martyrdom. So, yes, good Easter choices.
