Well, maybe more – but not much. Currently scanning my old slides and came across this one taken using Kodachrome 126 in my trusty Instamatic.
It’s a photograph of St Aldate’s in Oxford and the date on the slide is indeed October 1968 – that would be the date that it was processed, so the picture may have been taken some weeks or even months earlier. It’s one of those too rare everyday scenes that becomes increasingly fascinating with the passage of time – the lack of crowds, the lack of parking restrictions, the bus in it’s dark red livery. Wasn’t that where the gas showroom used to be?
